DIY Anna Frozen Cape

It's almost Halloween, so why not dress up as your favorite Frozen character? Today I'm going to show you how to make an easy, no sew, diy Anna cape!

This is Anna if you aren't familiar with her.

What you'll need...
Magenta fleece
Scissors


and that's it! You can always add the pompom trim and add the heart clasp and all the little details, but this is just a simple version.


I purchased 2 1/2 yards of magenta fleece from Jo-Ann Fabrics. I think it was the hot pink, but I'm not entirely sure. It looks like a magenta (hot pink with a little but of purple... The best I can describe it) color. I had quite a bit left over, but I messed up so it was good that I got too much.

What I did first is fold the fleece in half and then cut it on the folded line. 

I took one half of the fleece and wrapped it around my shoulders to see if it fit. It was too big so I trimmed some off. 

Then I took the half that I had trimmed and wrapped it around my shoulders (to see if it fit) again. I made a slit where my calves were and cut along that. 

Round the corners. 

Now you can set the large piece that you trimmed aside and use the other half. 

I put it on a round table and cut around around it. It was the perfect size. 

Now fold it fourths and cut a... Quarter circle...? Unfold it. 

Now you fold it in half and cut a curve. 

When you unfold it, it should look something like this. 

Now round the corners. 

Then get both peices of the cape and line them up. 

Take the bottom/longer piece and cut a bunch of tiny slits close to the top.

Cut a long, thin piece of fleece and weave it through the slits. 

Put the top piece on top of the bottom piece and cut two tiny slits on opposite sides. Weave the ends of the "ribbon" through the slits and... That's it!
